What is Schenley Plaza?
Schenley Plaza is the grand entrance to Schenley Park, Pittsburgh’s flagship 456-acre park.  The Plaza recently underwent a restoration that transformed the space from a parking lot into a public green space, its original use more than 100 years ago.

Where is Schenley Plaza?
The Plaza is in the Pittsburgh borough of Oakland, about 4 miles east of downtown Pittsburgh.   It is situated between the Carnegie Museums and Library and the University of Pittsburgh Hillman Library.  The address is 4100 Forbes Avenue.

What can I see or do at Schenley Plaza?
Schenley Plaza has many amenities, including a 1-acre lawn, four food and drink kiosks, free wireless internet service, restrooms, and ongoing entertainment.  See the Amenities page for more information.

Adjacent or nearby Schenley Plaza, you’ll find a wealth of places to discover, including the Schenley Park Visitor Center, the Carnegie Museum of Natural History and Museum of Art, the Carnegie Library Main Branch, the University of Pittsburgh, the Frick Fine Arts Building, Phipps Conservatory, the and even a portion of outfield wall of Pittsburgh’s legendary Forbes Field, where the Pittsburgh Pirates won the world series in 1909, 1925 and1960.

There are metered parking spaces surrounding the Plaza, the nearby Carnegie Library, and additional parking is available in the parking garage for the Carnegie Museums.
